Club convergence and factors of income inequality in the <scp>European Union</scp>

The measurement of inequality and its determinants are major tasks within the economic literature. main objectives this paper to identify patterns convergence in income European Union countries investigate factors behind formation clubs. For those purposes considering Gini index during period 2007–2018, club approach an ordered logit model employed. results show four clubs divergent countries. In addition, analysis identifies certain factors, such as openness, public intervention education, drivers reduction. Finally, from for alternative measure, specifically ratio 80:20, similar achieved case index.
